Other than this, her Spiel made no Sense. Did the Woman drink some heavy Stuff before attending the Broadcast or she does not need to be under the Influence to talk Tosh? Sorry, Egbon, I just had to put that Jive in. You asked for it. Most of everything she said were salient for their incredible Idiocies. Let us examine the Florence Ita-Giwa Fallacies below.
“...affirmative action undemocratic”
Former Senator Florence Ita-Giwa finds “affirmative action undemocratic,” but she never told us what “affirmative action” in Nigeria is, for those of us not au fait with the Nigerian Polity to have some Grasp nor did she explain her Understanding of “undemocratic.” We know what “affirmative action” is in the United States of America (USA), and would be ordinarily curious – not to me though – that the least academically accomplished are the most vociferous of Antagonists. You know why? They know they are not qualified to be considered under “affirmative action.” You see, “affirmative action” is not about “lowering the Standard (Bar),” as Detractors claim, but concerned with opening Access deliberately blocked to certain Groups, ipso facto, disadvantaged, i.e., African-Americans, Indigenous-Americans, and Women, especially those from poor Backgrounds. Donald J Trump Sr, the 45th and currently 47th President of the United States of America (US(A)), for instance, is a ‘brutal Adversary’© of “affirmative action” in any Form. If he belongs to any of the disadvantaged Groups I mentioned precedingly, he does not measure up to be forwarded for “affirmative action” in Employment, say. He has only an ordinary bachelor’s Degree, not even the poorest honours Degree. If true that someone was paid to sit his Examination for Entry into University, he would not even be worth pulling into the “affirmative action” Program in Education. So, what is Ms Florence Ita-Giwa’s Story? How educated is she? What were her Marks in whatever she studied? Would she qualify for “Look at” under “affirmative action” through academic Achievements? We are also aware that “democratic” is the ‘eternal Buzzword’© even though there is no “democratic” Polity anywhere in the World. If you believe that voting Officials into Office is “democratic,” good luck to you with your “false consciousness.” Does Ita-Giwa consider herself a ‘political Theorist’ or a ‘political Philosopher’ because she got elected into Legislature, and was a presidential Adviser of sorts? What single Essay has she ever written on political Theory or political Philosophy? Does she even know what either entails? E ma bi nu Egbon, su gbon o ye ka mo Iwon Ara wa. Ojo Ori ko ni Imo abi Oye. Be ni, Egbon.
Look, anyone can be elected into political Office insofar as certain Elements converge, particularly in a largely “uneducated Electorate,” and especially where Poverty is the Mainstay of their Constituencies. Even affluent Communities could be absolutely selfish in lending out their Votes where only what they seek is personal Benefit. Ms Ita-Giwa ain’t cutting any Ice with me here. E gbo? We could observe the uneducated Electorate Reality in the Protests between those – evidently educated with full Grasp of the Implication(s) – sympathetic to Mrs Senator Akpoti Uduaghan’s Allegation of “sexual Harassment,” and those contending that ... . Actually, what were they contending? They were interviewed on Television. They were illiterate or ‘barely-literate’©. They did not have the slightest Understanding of what they were protesting about, over or for. All we knew was that they were supporting Mr Senator Godswill Akpabio, the alleged sexual Harasser. Now, that was Poverty showcased; the Akpabio Crowd had been patronised with Peanuts for Money to go sell their Souls to the Devil. It was evident, and classic Demonstration of ‘poverty saturated’© Constituencies. Those Women Supporters of Akpabio are more than likely ‘Breakfast Punch Bag’© and/or ‘Lunch Punch Bag’© and/or ‘Supper Punch Bag’© and/or ‘I feel like it Punch Bag’© for and to their Husbands and Boyfriends.
“I present myself as a Person”
Ms Florence Ita-Giwa should note that the Bipedal, the ‘assumed Human Being’© (Human), is usefully described as Person, and like most Organisms, the Human is split into two Sexes; female, and male. If Ita-Giwa’s Husband (male) saw her only as a Person (neither female nor male), would he have married her or was she suggesting her Husband would have married her if she were male, after all, a Person is a Person, and Sex Typologies, which are also ‘genital Classifications’©, are irrelevant? If Florence Ita-Giwa were just a Person instead of being a ‘Woman Person’©, would she have carried a Pregnancy? I am a Man, and I know that typically of Men I am incapable of carrying a real Pregnancy except the Pot Belly. I bet anyone that Ms Ita-Giwa has had Vehicle Doors, and Building Doors opened for her, and Chairs pulled out for her to sit on, not because she is a Person, but hey, due to her being a Woman, and she would have acknowledged those Gestures fully cognisant they were extended because she is a Woman. She would also have said something like; “thank you. You are a Gentleman,” not ‘thank you, you are a Gentleperson’.

Ms Ita-Giwa stated that she called Mrs Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan after her Election as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to tell her “I see another Ita-Giwa in you.” This is from an Individual who “present[s]” herself as “a Person,” but refused to see Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan as a “Person.” No, no, any assertive Woman has to be “another Ita-Giwa.” So very condescending. As if there were no assured Women before her in that ‘Territorial State’© called Nigeria, prior to, and post its so-called Independence. Such ‘Self-Inflation’©.
“Worse kind of Weakness on a Woman’s Part ... to come out and accuse a Man of making Advances at you at that Level [Federal Senator]”
I reiterate for Ms Ita-Giwa’s Attention that I am a Man. As a Man, I do not believe I am the Generality of Men. This is to say that Moi, Ipemndoh dan Iyan, is not the Embodiment of all Men. I do not expect all Men to behave as I would in similar Circumstances. I might be ‘momentarily stupid’© to criticize a Man for not acting as I would, but I would be extremely arrogant to come out in Public to insist that my Way of responding to those Circumstances is the only sensible Way for all Men to relate. Absolute Bunkum. Similarly, Ms Florence Ita-Giwa cannot be the Encapsulation of all Women. She should speak for herself. Thus, it is discourteous of her to proposition “Worse kind of Weakness on a Woman’s Part ... to come out and accuse a Man of making Advances at you at that Level [Federal Senator].” With this Balderdash of a Comment, Ms Florence Ita-Giwa understands “sexual Harassment” as a one-time Event, so why complain about something that compares to Someone stepping on your Feet accidentally? “Sexual Harassment,” Ita-Giwa, is a prolonged Interference with the Quality of Life of the Victim by a sexual Harasser demanding sexual Contact. The Issue of “sexual Harassment” is that even if it is on a single Occasion, it could still be protracted or repetitive.
The Reality, that clearly eluded Ita-Giwa (probably still does) is that Mrs Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan’s Complaint of Mr Senator Godswill Akpabio’s “sexual Harassment” was not about herself. It is about how his Conduct had degenerated from “sexual Harassment” of the Person (Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan) to ‘causing Injury to senatorial Representation’© (Nigeria, and Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan’s senatorial District) through the ‘sexual Predation’© of the Person (Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan) that was hindering that Person’s (Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan) Functionality as a Federal Legislator. By ‘sexual Predation’, I identify “sexual Harassment” plus the Victimisation ensuing from the Rejection of a sexual Harasser who has some Authority over the sexually-harassed, the Victim.
Godswill Akpabio, ipso facto, was undermining the legislative Process of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Ms Florence Ita-Giwa should grasp it clearly that Mrs Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan sounded the Alarm about Senator Godswill Akpabio’s “sexual Harassment” because of the ‘Obstruction of the legislative Process’© Godswill Akpabio was engaging in. Akpabio was not only a Nuisance to Akpoti Uduaghan, he had also transformed himself into a Threat against the Federal Republic of Nigeria by disrupting Senate (Nigeria’s) Business in order to achieve his personal Goal of victimising the Person (Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan) for rejecting his Ambition to get between her Thighs. Senator Godswill Akpabio was most probably committing an Act of Treason in his Relentlessness to subdue Senator Mrs Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan to his sexual Desires. Does Ita-Giwa get it now?
As a Lawmaker, Mrs Akpoti Uduaghan is not an ordinary Worker whose Work where disarrayed interferes with her only. Where her Work is impeded, as a Federal Legislator, it attacks her Efficiency in contributing to the Development of the Country of Nigeria through Legislation, as well as respond to the ‘legislative Needs’© of ‘the People’ in her Constituency (District) who voted her into Office. This is why she cried “out and accuse[d] a Man [‘self-imagined’© demi-god Godswill Akpabio, President of the Senate of Nigeria] of making Advances at [her] at that Level.” Do you now understand wa go an, Ms former Senator Ita-Giwa?
Ms Ita-Giwa, as an erstwhile Senator, should be aghast that the President of the Senate of Nigeria allegedly disturbed the Competence of a female Senator because that female Senator has declined his “Advances at” her. Ita-Giwa should be calling furiously for Godswill Akpabio to step aside for the Allegation to be investigated, and if found guilty proscribed from Public Office for Life instead of coming on Television to show how so disoriented she is with Governance. Can anyone help me here by advising me of how well she did as a Senator, and as a presidential Adviser? What Bills did she initiate, as a Senator? If passed, what were their Effectiveness if implemented? What Pieces of Advice did she give the President she was Adviser to? Did her Pieces of Advice to her President enhance his Productivity as President in her Area of Responsibility? I have not observed anything creditworthy from her Utterances.

From her Grasp of “sexual Harassment” it is apparent previous-Senator Florence Ita-Giwa has never been subjected to that Affliction, so she cannot know of the Impact on a Victim. “Sexual Harassment” does not recognize “that Stage of your Life” for as long as the Harasser is of the Mind s/he has some Power over the Victim. “Sexual Harassment” is the Extension of Disregard for the Victim, Ms Ita-Giwa. Even if “sexual Harassment” were Flattery, how does it compliment the Victim, Ms Florence Ita-Giwa? The Reality of “sexual Harassment,” Ms Florence Ita-Giwa is Degradation of the Victim. It is Humiliation. It is very much disconcerting. It renders the Victim unbelievably powerless, being ‘emotionally shattered’© (“emotionally traumatized”). Sexual Harassers demonstrate no Humanity nor possess any Conscience, Ms Ita-Giwa. It is all about their “Self-Gratification, Ms Ita-Giwa. Inevitably, Ms Ita-Giwa, it is the Woe of attractive and/or beautiful Individuals to be “sexually harassed,” and to suffer other Trespasses on their Persons irrespective of the “Stage of ... Life” of the Victim. Capisci, erstwhile Senator Florence Ita-Giwa?
Ipemndoh dan Iyan – Man sexually harassed
For instance, from Childhood I have been complimented as a beautiful Person (“a heck of a good-looking Guy,” “very attractive Guy,” “very handsome Boy/Bloke/Guy,” “very good-looking Boy/Bloke/Guy,”). If I recall correctly, I think a Nigerian Lady once referred to me as “drop dead,” and I was in my late 40s then. Even at going to Age 68 this Year (2025), I still get the Glances, and at times the Compliment too. Okay, I agree, my Pregnancy ruins the Package. I even once had a young Woman – about mid-late 20s – sit on my Laps on the London Underground because she found me “very attractive, very good looking, and very stylish” despite being with a Man about her Age. I think my Tummy was not fat then. I felt great though not with the very stylish bit, as I, myself, know I am very stylish. The “... attractive ... good looking” bits chuffed me; she was very beautiful herself, and I was about 55 Years old at the Time, and I have never strutted myself around as beautiful. Yeah, I have heard it said that the really beautiful are not always that certain about themselves.
My first Experience of “sexual Harassment,” and the only one I am recounting was in mid-late 1984 (or early 1985) if my Memory serves me right. It was in London in England in the United Kingdom. I had gone to a Recruitment Agency expecting an Interview for Work. It was one of the big Agencies in the UK at the Time, and I think it is still big. The Person who attended to me was the Manager of the Branch. I had met him Days earlier at a Recruitment Fair where he had given me his Card. He wore a dark Suit – bluish - at the Fair. Quite stylish, I must say, and good looking too. He was about my Height or slightly taller. While talking to me then he had kept looking at me in a Way that alerted me about him. In fact, I caught him looking at me as I turned towards his Stand at the Fair. I have always been a good Dresser, so I thought on catching him looking at me that he was curious about what I was doing at the Fair, after all, I was dressed slightly expensively. He would have been in his early-mid 30s, older than I, of course. Talking to him warned me he was not about my dressing. I advised my Wife of everything when I arrived Home, and what I thought was going on, but we needed a Job.
On the Day of my Interview, he wore a beige light (Summer) Suede Suit. He asked me to sit on a Chair to his left with me facing his Side rather than across his Desk. He swivelled his Chair to face me. He was not really talking directly about introducing me to any Job, but he kept touching my Thighs. I unceasingly removed his Hands from my Thighs when he rested them there. I was uncomfortable, but I was desperate for a Job. I had a Wife, and a little Child to properly look after. At some Point, he excused himself to go and urinate. When he returned, I noticed wet Stains on his left Thigh next to his Crotch, and I knew I had to leave; damn the Job. At the same time I realised why he had given me a late Appointment. The Office was closing, and I could hear everyone exchanging “byes.” It was also Friday. I advised him I wanted to be on my Way, and stood from the Chair. Believe it or not, that Man went to block the Door of his Office with his Body in the middle, and each Elbow raised against each Side of the Door facing me, and he was smiling too. I became really frightened by his Audacity. I bent and ran out under his left Armpit. On the Landing, I looked back at him standing outside the Door looking at me. His Face showed his Surprise. He had not expected me to run out. You see, his Office was few Paces away from the spiral Staircase that ran from the ground Floor to the third Floor where we were, and any Miscalculation on my Part could have ended probably in my Death falling three Floors down. When I apprised my Wife, she was furious, but what could we do? It would have been his Word against mine, and ‘white’ Folks, even Today, are more likely to believe their own notwithstanding incontrovertible Evidence. You see, previous-Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, “sexual Harassment” could also be immediately life-threatening.

It was of great Folly of former Senator Ita-Giwa to aver all “... are equal in that Senate.” E ma bi nu, Egbon, Eyin le to ja. She is easily contradicted by the Facts of different “Leaders” in the Senate including the overall Leader, the ‘President of the Senate’. These Leaders have heavier Weights in the Senate than non-Post holding Senators. Those Leaders have Responsibility beyond, and Authority above, non-Post holding Senators.
However, while the Positions of Leadership in the Senate demonstrate Inequalities in the Senate, these Positions are occupied by the Dispensation of each Individual Senator in ‘aggregated Consent’© underpinned by Factors, at times, conflicting with each other. This is to say that ‘Modus Vivendi of Interests’© installs Leaders.

It is so easy to be greatly incensed at Ms Florence Ita-Giwa. Why did she go to that Broadcast Interview at ARISE NEWS? Who invited her there? Did the Person who asked her to come on the Broadcast not feel her out first to know if she had even an Inkling of the Disease called “sexual Harassment?” Quite frankly, Ms Florence Ita-Giwa has absolutely no Clue about “sexual Harassment.” In her very uninformed Head, deluding itself knowledgeable, Ms Ita-Giwa mitigated (still does, presumably) “sexual Harassment” to “in Politics, you touch a lot.” She is now the foremost Authority in ‘Behaviours in Politics’©. I wonder how many Jurisdictions of “Politics” she is familiar with and/or what Education she has in “in Politics, you touch a lot” and/or which Book or Essay or even a Blog she has written on “in Politics, you touch a lot”. Let us think a little on the Tripe of “in Politics, you touch a lot.” Who touches who a lot; (1) Women touching Women or (2) Men touching Men or (3) Women touching Men or (4) Men touching Women?”
The Fact that Someone calls an Act “Harassment” indicates that the Someone is not tolerating (“allow[ing]) that Act. As for saying, let alone, maintaining “you don’t allow" whatever ill to have befallen you is the most puerile Criticism I have ever come across in my Life. Yeah, I know; Ms Ita-Giwa is ca 11 Years older than I, but she laid herself open coming onto the World Stage to talk Gobbledygook, ordinarily. How on Earth, for example, can you stop another Person from slapping you if you did not know that Person was going to slap you? I used the ‘Slap’, as illustration because Nigerians love slapping one another on the Face a lot. How can you stop anyone from trespassing on you if you do not know the Trespass would occur? For instance, about 6 or 5 Years ago, I was at a Party of Bini Persons from Nigeria. Somebody complimented my Looks, and the next Thing I knew was the young Man, young enough to be my Child, sitting to my left stroking my Beard, and telling me how great my greys were on me. Until then, he had not even spoken with me. I felt so diminished. That ill-mannered, not properly trained Child infringed upon my private Space. How could I have known he would do that, Ms Ita-Giwa, for me not to have “allow[ed]” him? The best I could do, after he had trespassed upon me, was pull his filthy Fingers off my Chin, and tell him never again in his Life to encroach on my private Space. The Idiot did not even apologize. I ended up blaming myself for having attended that Party.
Ms Florence Ita-Giwa should learn that One cannot stop the Onset of “sexual Harassment,” or any other Violation of One (or of One’s Property for that matter), but One can put a Stop to its Continuation. Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan was trying to put an end to Godswill Akpabio’s ‘sexual Predation’ of her before Akpabio’s Apologists came out with Guns blazing, and in so doing arming Akpabio’s Ego to be (a) in Contempt of a Court (disobeying a Court Order), and (b) arrogate Powers – outside ‘constitutional Bequest’© – to himself through his Lackey Members of the ‘Ethics and Privileges Committee’. Perhaps, they are better described as cretinous, but this would be kind to them. The first Instance of “sexual Advances,” Ms Ita-Giwa, does not alert the Person who would be transferred to its “Sexual Harassment” Stage that it is coming, for that Victim to decide whether or not to “allow” the “sexual Advances” not to talk of “allow[ing the] “sexual Harassment.” When a Person then complains about the unwelcome nonstop “sexual Advances,” which have now translated to “sexual Harassment,” it means, that Person is not “allow[ing the]” “sexual Harassment.” Ms Florence Ita-Giwa was really quite infuriating. Read again my “sexual Harassment” Encounter detailed above. Did I invite it? Did I “allow” it? Ms Ita-Giwa should muzzle it. She ain’t got a Clue. She knows Nada.
I am particularly piqued by Ms Ita-Giwa’s Arrogance in asserting herself an Expert/Specialist on (1) a Matter (“sexual Harassment”) she is neither familiar with nor educated about, and (2) an Environment (the Senate) she has not been part of, for Decades. She has no current Senate ‘Participant Credibility’©. Does she not know that the ARISE NEWS Television Channel is watched beyond Nigeria, and that some of us who watch from abroad are highly intellectual, and not in the least swayed by ‘social Braggadocio’©?
Sexual Harassment “cannot happen in the Senate”
To say “it [sexual Harassment] cannot happen in the Senate,” is, ordinarily, naive, but to insist “it cannot happen in the Senate” is annoyingly inane. How could, or would, Ms Ita-Giwa know of the Circumstances? Would it because she was a one-Term Senator a lifetime ago? Yep, I exaggerate(d) about “lifetime ago,” but only for Effect. “Sexual Harassment,” former Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, can “happen” anywhere, and at any time the sexual Harasser recognises Opportunities inconducive to ‘spontaneous Evidence gathering’©.
Those who believe they can get away with “sexual Harassment,” Ms former Senator Ita-Giwa, are those in prominent Positions. Refer again to my “sexual Harassment” Encounter narrated above. It is Analogy for Akpoti Uduaghan versus Akpabio. My sexual Harasser had Substance. He was a Manager in a most reputable Company. He had Influence, presumably. He had Money, ordinarily. He could, and would, convincingly argue that he could afford a male Sex Worker. He is ‘white’. I was unemployed, and an “African.” Senator Godswill Akpabio has more Influence than Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan, and it is why he is President of the Senate of Nigeria, and not her. Senator Akpoti Uduaghan (female), was likely to be disbelieved, as she sure was, because of her previous unsubstantiated Allegations of “sexual Harassment.” Senator Akpabio (male, and President of the Senate) could make underhand Moves against her with Support from his “Spheres of Influence,” as we have observed indeed happened.
Many would have heard and even seen Akpabio claim he had been around “beautiful Women,” but had not “sexually harassed” any. That was Senator Godswill Akpabio, who has Substance, Influence, and Money (stolen from Public Coffers) by the Virtues of his being former 2-Term State Governor, former Federal Minister, and 2-Term Senator currently serving as President of the Senate of Nigeria trying to convince the ‘Suggestibles’© that he is not blameworthy for an Allegation, he has abused his Office as President of the Senate of Nigeria to steadfastly block from being investigated. Come on. Would a Person not guilty as alleged do that, obstruct Investigation? E gbe ye wo, now. The innocent Person would even demand to be absolved of any Wrongdoing with Alacrity by voluntarily submitting to formal Investigations. Only Dimwits would lap up Godswill Akpabio’s ‘self-defence Sophism’©. Godswill Akpabio is ‘self-damning’© in his Guilt of “sexual Harassment” as alleged, with his Actions to suffocate Investigations into the Allegation. Sexual Harassers are Cowards. They have already planned out their Lines of Defence either by Threat – implicit and/or explicit – of Obstruction or Revenge. These Lines usually work for as long as the essential Bulwark of preventing Investigation into their Conduct holds. This is, in superficie, the Case here with Godswill Akpabio, Ms Florence Ita-Giwa.
I found it quite insulting to Mrs Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan for Ms Florence Ita-Giwa to suggest with “it [sexual Harassment] cannot happen in the Senate” that Senator Akpoti Uduaghan is a Liar despite the Evidence Senator Akpoti Uduaghan presented pointing prima facie to ‘sexual Predation’ at the Hands of Mr Senator Godswill Akpabio, President of the Senate of Nigeria. Former Senator Ita-Giwa was simply ‘cognitively intractable’©. Although Ita-Giwa denied calling Akpoti Uduaghan a Liar, her Denial cuts Ice only if One rationalises, she does not know the Implication of “cannot” in her Statement in the Context of the Allegation by Senator Akpoti Uduaghan.
So, sexual Harassment “cannot happen in Ms Ita-Giwa’s [sanctified] Senate” of Nigeria, but ‘sexual Familiarity’©, ‘sexual Condescension’©, ‘sexual Patronage’© should? Unless One is an ‘irredeemable Halfwit’© would One not grasp Senator Godswill Akpabio’s ‘unsheathed Condescension’© towards Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan when he mentioned “Night Club” in responding to her on the Floor of the Senate. He was so crass. I came across a Clip of this, entirely by Accident, in the early Hours of Thursday 6 March 2025. The Statement; “... Natasha ... we are not in a Nightclub” spoke a lot about the Relationship or ‘assumed Relationship’© or ‘expected Relationship’© between the two. First, calling Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan by her first Name in formal Setting, knowing fully well she is married, indicated his ‘presumed Entitlement’© to address her that Way. It is Familiarity. Those of you who have seen the Interaction would notice she addressed him formally. These Informality and Formality adopted by either do not actually say anything about their private Relationship with each other. What they tell, emphatically, is that Senator Akpabio has absolutely no Sense of Decorum and/or Respect for the Etiquette in Legislatures (all over the World) whereas Senator Akpoti Uduaghan does. Second, equating Senator Akpoti Uduaghan’s Interruption to “Nightclub” Behaviour was not only utter Disrespect for a fellow Senator – Condescension’ – but was also a Window to his Altitude as to whatever else he believes himself to be, especially when Akpoti Uduaghan had apologised – with “oh pardon me” – for her Interruption. Akpabio is a very uncouth Man. Alternatively, Senator Godswill Akpabio’s Behaviour – still uncultured – can be interpreted as that of a Man shunned by a Woman of his Affection or Fixation or of a Man patronising a Woman with whom he has had intimate Encounter(s). Most importantly, whether Mr Akpabio’s Responses to Mrs Akpoti Uduaghan were from ‘Familiarity with the Familiar’© or ‘Retaliation for shunned unrequited Affection’©, pay Attention to Ms Akpoti Uduaghan’s Voice. Her Voice was impressing clearly; ‘you will listen to me whether you like it or not. I will not let you abuse your Office to silence me, you immature ...’. There is so much to “sexual Harassment” that is presumed, but should not. Even where Couples have slept with one other innumerable times, once a Party says “stop,” but the Other continues to pester the Party that wants it stopped, it becomes “sexual Harassment.” Capisci?
I have heard, and watched Senator Ireti Kingibe, and erstwhile Senator Florence Ita-Giwa emphasise, as if they were making any Sense, that Senator Akpabio has “apologised” to Senator Akpoti Uduaghan over his “Nightclub” Comment to her, and that she had accepted the Apology. (I) Newsflash; Apologies can be accepted under Duress, et cetera. (II) They both miss(ed) the Point; it is not about Apologies, but the Attitude underlining the Need for Apologies. It is a Question of Attitude. Capisci? It was not Incidence of Someone accidentally spilling Coffee, Spirit, Tea or Wine on another Person. This was about what was said by one Person to another, and the Undertone. Such Encounters expose Attitudes. Se bi “Ireti” is a Yoruba Name? Eyin Yoruba ko lo so pe “Eyin ni Oro, to ba ja bo, ko se un ko?” No, I am certainly not Yoruba. I am Fulani.
Succession to the Nigerian Presidency during an Administration
In the Section titled ‘Sexual Harassment “cannot happen in the Senate”’ above, I wrote the following regarding Senator Godswill Akpabio; “whatever else he believes himself to be.” I implied there his Assertion of himself, according to Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan, as the “Number 3 Citizen of Nigeria” or some Megalomania like that. Akpabio is the President of the Senate of the “Federal Republic of Nigeria.” That is all he can hope to remain during the ‘usurped Presidency’© of Mr Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima Mustapha. With my “hope to remain,” I mean that his Position is at the Benevolence and/or Mercy and/or ‘Reciprocity of corrupt Gain’© of his fellow Senators. They can unseat him anytime his Occupation of the Seat of President of the Senate no longer benefits Majority of Senators. Mr Godswill Akpabio is a Lawyer. Unfortunately for him, Mrs Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan is also a Lawyer thus he could not entice her with his childish Boast of “Number 3 Citizen.” He has no constitutional Authority beyond the Walls of the Nigerian Senate (if Nigeria were a decent Polity). In the most unlikely Circumstances that the two Incumbents of the Nigerian Presidency die around the same time, the longest the President of the Senate can serve as ‘acting President’ are three Months. The President of the Senate of the Nigerian Republic can never transition into the Presidency. Elections must be held. Even where the Vice-President (VP) alone dies, the President of the Senate of Nigeria does not constitutionally become the new VP. It is for the President to appoint a new VP albeit with the Consents of both Chambers of the Nigerian Assembly. So much for his Nonsense of “I am the Number three Citizen.” So pathetic. I must state at this Point that as much as I criticise the Constitution of the United States of America (US(A)) for its Inadequacy, I doff my Hat to the Fact that the Instrument does not install the “President of the Senate” from among Senators. The President of the Senate of the US is the Vice-President of the Country. This constitutional Arrangement does not enable, let alone allow, the President of the US Senate to abuse, and bring into Disrepute the Office of the President of the US Senate.
