Donald J. Trump should be impeached in 2021 and convicted

I concede, Representative Ken Buck, that you are one of the few Republican Party Legislators at Federal Level who have shown Integrity regarding the Outcome of the 2020 presidential Election of November 3. Majority of GOP Congresspersons (Representatives and Senators) have not. I must, however, disagree with your Letter to the 46th President-elect of the United States of America (USA/US)), Joe Biden, to intervene to stop the second Impeachment of Donald J. Trump Sr, the 45th President.  


Your Letter directs unsavoury yet unjustified Attention at Biden when its Signatories should be joining in Trump’s second Impeachment. Trump Sr is the One who threatened “Fidelity to [the ‘American’] Constitution.” Importantly, Biden has nothing to do with any Move to impeach Trump Sr. That is the Responsibility of the Legislative Branch of Government. Biden is the Executive Branch. The Responsibilities of (a) Congress (House and Senate), (b) the Executive (Presidency) and (c) the Judiciary (Courts) are well-defined in Articles I, II and III of the Constitution of the US respectively. Other Articles grant various Powers to Congress. The Vice-President might play a part in the trying of an impeached President but this current Session of Congress is not in Kamala Harris' Administration as Vice-President. Ergo, Trump's second Impeachment, if it goes ahead, has nothing to do with her either.

I asked long for the first before it happened. Republican Senators, except for Mitt Romney, unfaithful to the Oath of Office, voted not to convict. You, Ken Buck, voted in the House against that Impeachment. The Truth of the Matter is that Republican federal Legislators refused to clip Trump’s Wings as they began to grow in his Abuse of the Office of President. “America is intensely divided at this moment” you wrote and correctly too but you are asking for the Culprit, GOP President Trump Sr, who encouraged and facilitated this “immense... divi[sion]” not to be held accountable. With his false Allegations of Election Fraud due to his Inability to secure a second Term, Trump Sr threatened the fragile Cohesion of his Country, the US. He is the One who made the previously tentative Compromise doubtful in the first Place. The Result of his irresponsible Actions and Approval of 'white' Supremacy was what the World witnessed on 6 January 2021. Trump’s Allegations of vote rigging were supported and given Life by the majority of GOP federal Legislators. Yet, these Allegations were simply baseless. Trump and Cohort could not present just one Piece of Evidence to suggest the Allegations not to talk of substantiating them. Even Republican Judges, some appointed by Trump himself, threw out those Allegations as simply groundless.


When Republicans controlled the Presidency of the US and its Congress and later just the Presidency and the Senate, there was no concerted Letter-writing from Republican federal Legislators to Trump to stop his everyday lying to the ‘American’ People or desist from relating to the Presidency as though his Fiefdom. All the House Republicans voted against his Impeachment in 2019 – 2020 on the Charges of (i) Abuse of Office, and (ii) Obstruction of Congress. I say that the Fundamental of good Governance, stemming from the ‘Law of Nature’, is Accountability for individual Conduct and the Reality of Sanction where it breaches moral Rules and/or social Rules, including the Criminal/Penal Code. I also appreciate that this Fundamental is philosophically alien to the ‘American’ System in its Perversity of the ‘Pardon’ but it is still in practice basically in the Prosecution and Sentencing Processes.


I take Cognizance of your Visibility, Ken Buck, in challenging the Nonsense that the Republican Aisle of Congress can undermine Joe Biden’s and Kamala Harris’ joint Win to the 46th Presidency. However, I see this as Recognition of the stated Letters of the Constitution. The US Congress is constitutionally powerless to discard the approved Votes of the Electoral College. No Ruse engaged by Republican federal Legislators would stand in any Court of the US. 


You are incorrect, Buck, that the Constitution does not “envision impeaching a President without ... investigation and congressional hearings.” Article I neither prescribes nor suggests the Conditions of the Impeachment of the President. It simply  instructs what each Chamber of Congress is responsible for in the Impeachment Process, and what the Sanction must be. It also states the Extent of Forgiveness from criminal Indictments, which actually is none. In Law, and you are a Lawyer, an Investigation is required to gather Evidence. There is no need for it philosophically and practically when the Evidence is already in Hand. That Trump Sr incited the Insurrection of 6 January 2021 is not any way in Question. It was clear as early as 3 November 2020 that Donald J. Trump Sr was fanning the Embers of what would transpire on 6 January 2021. Republican Legislators never stepped in as a Collective to stop him. It is unfair now for some to be advocating that he must not be made to face the Consequences of his deliberate malignant Conduct. What about the Police Officer, Brian Sicknick, who was killed as Consequence of Trump’s and Cohort’s Behaviors (or is Attitude the correct Way of seeing it)? What did he do wrong to offend Donald J. Trump Sr, the 45th President of the US? Pleading Mercy for Trump Sr is simply insane. Trump is such a vindictive Person who punished those in the Right but who did not support his Wrong. Why is it for you, Buck, that what is good for the Goose is not also good for the Gander? 


Your Letter is quite misleading, perhaps not what is intentioned; "celebrate the peaceful transfer of power, a bedrock of our system of self-government." Which “peaceful transfer”? What is “peaceful” about Trump’s General Services Administration's (GSA) Emily W. Murphy withholding Funds from Joe Biden’s transitional Team for a long time? What is “peaceful” about Trump actually attempting to usurp the Presidency of Biden? What is “peaceful” about Trump and Family threatening Republican Politicians with deselection in subsequent Elections, as if they have the wherewithal? What is “peaceful” about Trump’s high profile Supporters issuing Death Threats to Republicans who dared to be honest and rejected Trump’s many Attempts to coerce or force them into stealing for him the Election he did not win? On Occasion, these Trump's Minions subliminally called for the Killing of those Republicans. This was Election Donald J. Trump Sr so badly lost. An Election in which he was whupped, big Time.
